Being able to surf the right board for the conditions. Right now, I send it in all conditions on my longboard & feel more comfortable on that than anything shorter. My biggest challenge on a shorter board is duck diving. I live in NJ and in the winter it’s mostly barreling beach breaks or in the summer mushy waves w/ nothing in between.
